MAKAUT
The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology is a government university situated in Kolkata running various Under Graduate & Post Graduate programs in different sectors.
There are many engineering, management, and pharmacy colleges affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in the entire West Bengal state. The university is focused on technology, engineering, and management programs.

MAKAUT GRADING SYSTEM
Under MAKAUT all the affiliated colleges follow the pattern instructed by the university. As per the university norms, a total number of marks a subject carries is 100. Out of 100 marks, 70 marks for written paper and 30 marks is for internal.

30 Marks for internal are distributed as follows:

The whole internal system of marking is as follows

| Total | 100 marks |
The entire marks are sent to MAKAUT and the university converts it to 25 marks and 5 marks is given separately for attendance.
MAKAUT has a grading system. The system is explained below.

HOW TO SECURE MORE MARKS
- Focus upon your internal marks. Try to secure more marks internal.
- Attendance is where you can secure the marks.
- An assignment is a tool that will help you in gaining good marks.
- 30 Marks is where you can play and secure good marks.
- For 70 marks you should, first of all, follow the organizer.
- The organizer contains solved question papers for the past few years.
- The organizer will help you in understanding the pattern of the exam and questions.
- You can expect few common questions from the organizer.
- The organizer will act as a guide for you to secure more marks.
- Try to solve the MCQ. Do not leave any MCQ unattended. Even if you do not know the answer still try to attempt the MCQ.
- It happens that the MCQ question might be wrong. If you attempt the question you will get a mark even if it is wrong.
- Even in a numerical paper try to attempt the questions even if the question is wrong. You will get marks in such a case.
- Good handwriting is necessary to get good marks.
