The workshop on “Water Quality Studies using Hyperspectral
Remote Sensing for the Indian Coastal and Inland Waters” is being
organized to provide an overview of applications of hyperspectral
remote sensing technology for various water quality studies. The
the main aim of this workshop is to spread awareness about
importance and capabilities of geospatial technology, especially the
hyperspectral remote sensing in the field of mapping water quality
of Coastal and Inland waters. It will provide a platform to start an
interaction between main stakeholders such as government
agencies, academia, industry, and NGOs on utilizing geospatial
technology for water quality mapping.
